Captain Carli's Charter Service can help you enjoy your camping experience of a lifetime in the San Juan Islands by providing transportation for you or your group, your camping gear and kayaks. Captain Bill Carli has been boating in the waters of the San Juan Islands for over 22 years and knows them like the back of his hand. He is also very knowledgeable about all of the wildlife the San Juan Islands has to offer. He will fill you in on all the little "secrets" of making sure you have a fabulous camping adventure in the San Juan Islands.
He has picked out four great islands, Turn Island, Jones Island, Stuart Island and Sucia Island, (Captain Carli's favorite being Jones Island) that offer camping facilities. All are in Washington State Parks. All of the camping sites are on a "first come, first served" basis but it is very rare to find one of the locations full.
Captain Carli will meet you at Friday Harbor, Washington, at slip 8, Port of Friday Harbor, Spring Street Landing, at a time of your choosing, transport you and your group and equipment to the island you have chosen. He will return at a day and time you designate and return you to Friday Harbor. It does not get any easier!
The boat ride to your camping destination is on the "Soulmate" a 25' C Dory Power Boat with a cruising speed of over 20 knots so that you get to your campsite quickly, and comfortably. Soulmate's interior was custom built to enable inside seating for six. We also have outside seating for six as well. There is a private bathroom for your convenience.
In addition, for your comfort and safety, Captain Carli's Charter Service will provide a hand-held VHF radio for your emergency use. ( A security deposit is required if you take advantage of this service and returned when the undamaged VHF radio is returned)
